Fresh launch
… the year somehow came to an abrupt close
and if one accepts that we are just about half way through March 2010 already…
At the night of the Jumps (November 21st 2009) we introduced our mobile beer tapping units (Rucksacks) for the first time. At our Fresh Launch on the 28th of November - they really attracted
a lot of attention - especially amongst the ladies …

Since then, our Fresh has done well amongst Ladies and sports people alike and finds great appreciation with designated drivers and beer lovers preferring lower alcohol beer. With the launch of our Fresh Low Alcohol Wheat beer, we honoured our commitment of presenting 5 Different beers within the year of 2009. This sets the stage for healthy growth and an opportunity to stabilizes our products and steadily grow each beer type and the brand as a whole in the year 2010.

Summer at the coast
… proved to be a great environment for our beer with plenty of functions where you would see our beers ON-TAP!
It is, however, very evident that the holiday-maker's consumption of alcohol is reducing due to the strict alcohol controls on the road. Camelthorn Brewing Company supports the idea of responsible drinking and assigning a designated driver. Safest, therefore, is to still enjoy Camelthorn beer with friends and family at home - not having to commute elsewhere after a few beers. It is here where we saw and increased the demand for our 10 liter keg, which was enjoyed around a braai in the comfort of the own home.
Sossusvlei matches Natural beauty with beauty in a glass...
A trip to the majestic dunes of the Sossusvlei during the December season and an invitation to the surrounding lodges, proved to be a huge success attracting all the lodge owners in the area to enjoy our beers under a Camelthorn tree.

Our host, Sossusvlei Lodge, went out of their way to present a memorable event under the canopy of a century old Camelthorn tree at the lodge.
A resulting connection with the Namib Desert Challenge in Late February helped Camelthorn to promote our Fresh in particular to some of the world’s toughest desert runners.
Camelthorn Gift Box

…We believe that our unique product deserves a unique package...
A Camelthorn Gift Box - perfect for that Saturday afternoon braai, a Super 14 rugby match with friends or even a corporate gift as a thank you to your loyal customers.
10 beers and 2 chilled Camelthorn branded glasses to enjoy our variety delight right away in the comfort of your home. What a great alternative to the ever so common bottle of red wine or sparkling wine gift. James, one of our closer connections commented – “this is like unpacking an Apple computer”! So ladies - no gift wrap required. Why don’t you try it with the next invitation you are getting from your neighbour or friend. People that love beer will love you for bringing along this gift pack …Cheers!
You can purchase these at most liquor outlets.
Or give us a call (061) 411-250 we’ll make sure you’ll get your ice cold gift pack.
Redesigned Website - http://www.camelthornbrewing.com
If there is something that is outdated tomorrow – it is a website.
It is a constant work in progress...
We launched our very first page about 13 months ago and it is like a whole lifetime has passed since then … well certainly for us, considering the chain of events for Camlethorn and its employees and affiliates. A special word of thanks at this point to Thorsten Koehler who put our first site together in January 2009. You have been a great help and the positive responses have been tremendous throughout the year.
As of August last year, SnowballStudio has been very involved with our marketing and presentation. A special word of thanks is extended to Jules and Stefan as well as Holger – you guys have been a great inspiration and are what a start-up needs – thank you to all of you!
Please send us your comment on our re-engineered look and feel. As mentioned before, this is a company on the move and we are going places … with YOU!!
So let us know what you think and win yourself a beer or two. We would in fact appreciate your view and thoughts on the progress of our beers and what you would like to see from Camelthorn in the future.
Camelthorn goes Etosha
Namibia is known for its wide open spaces, its untouched landsacapes and its wealth of natural resources. Etosha is one of the worlds best known nature reserves and Camelthorn wants to be part of this legacy and be involved.
An obvious choice for us is to team up with tourist oriented heavy weights such as Namibian Wildlife Resorts, who are bringing our beautiful country closer to the traveller at large. We cannot wait to have the tourist season get into full swing in 2010 for our vistors to learn more about Namibia’s diversity – good food and excellent beers. As of this week, Camelthorn is ON-TAP in Okaukuejo, Halali and Namutoni!!!
